Sarasota Antique Buyers is an antique buying and consulting business located in the Sarasota Florida area. Born in London and raised in Brighton, England, Michael de Bondt has lived and worked in the U.S. since 1986. Prior to moving to Sarasota his love of art and history led him to auction houses both big and small throughout the south of England. His business gradually extended to selling to U.S. antiques dealers throughout the Eastern Seaboard. Upon visiting Sarasota in 1986 he decided to move his business “across the pond."
For the past 22 years he has traveled across The U.S. from Boston to Miami, Atlanta to Houston to Chicago, and many points in between buying and selling antiques. His network of colleagues and collectors in the world of antiques is vast and his understanding of geographic markets and specialty markets is extensive.
He continues to live in Sarasota with his wife, his son, and two dogs.
